Abstract: In order to meet the present day demands of high data rates with low latency, the wireless communication networks are now utilizing millimetre waves spectrum such as 28-GHz band for next generation 5G communication. However, the propagation losses that include free space path loss and atmospheric loss would result in lower signal-to-noise ratio at the receiver side, thereby reducing the range of the communication. © 2021, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.
