Abstract: This paper present an array of Ultrawide-band (UWB) antenna for fetus monitoring application. The fetus of the voxel model of Katja female consisting of the five tissues namely the Uterus cervix, umbilical cord, skin, fat, and amniotic fluid are considered in the simulation model. The dielectric properties of these tissues has been studied over an UWB frequency ranges from 3.1 - 10.6 GHz. A circular patch UWB antenna is designed on a dielectric substrate FR-4 (lossy) and fed it by a 50 Ω microstrip line with maximum size of 42 mm X 50 mm. The antenna has been tested to provide an ultrawide 10 dB return loss over UWB frequency range with satisfactory radiation properties. Further, the array of UWB antenna is simulated with and without the voxel model tissues. In the simulated model we have considered one antenna as a transmitting antenna and other as receiving antennas at one point of time. The transmission coefficient of the receiving antennas are presented over the UWB frequency band. The variation of reflection, transmission coefficient, and far-field radiation pattern with and without the fetus of the voxel model demonstrate the validity of our proposed model for fetus monitoring over a period of time during the pregnancy. © 2023 IEEE.
