Composites generally are a mixture of two or more substances whose segregation into its components is impossible without destroying any components. Magnetic fluids are homogenous dispersion of nanomagnetic particles with the most negligible aggregation and this help informing uniform magnetic composites in different matrixes with comparatively much less mixing time. The synthesis or manufacturing process of these composites can be divided into two categories: mixing components magnetic and polymer components and processing magnetopolymer to get fibers, sheets, etc. To understand the magnetic properties of ferrofluid-based composites, the ferrofibers developed earlier are considered as an example. These fibers show high magnetization and anisotropy. The chapter gives a brief insight on the magnetic composites, their synthesis and characteristics. The synthesis methods and characterization techniques discussed do not give a complete account of all methods and techniques used. The methods and techniques used depends on various factors such as raw material, cost of production, quality standards and final points of application. © 2023 R.P.
