dc.description.abstractThis paper presents an efficient lossy media implementation on the improved weakly conditional stability finite-difference time-domain (WCS-FDTD) method. Here, four schemes such as averaging, forward-forward, forward-backward, and exponential time differencing schemes are used to implement lossy media. With the help of symmetrical source implementation and fundamental algorithm, the forward-backward scheme gives higher efficiency than the other three schemes. The efficiency of the proposed schemes is analyzed through numerical simulations and compared with the same, using the alternating-direction-implicit finite-difference time-domain (ADI-FDTD) method. © 2022 IEEE.en_US
